Mr. Steven M. Wilcox - CEO and DirectorMr. Wilcox founded GT Group Telecom Inc. in April of 1996, and as President and Chief Executive Officer lead that company's growth from a small start up with a net value of less than $100,000 to a company valued at over US $3 Billion in just 4 years. Prior to founding GT Group Telecom Inc., Mr. Wilcox was instrumental in Westel Telecommunications (now Navigata) entry into advanced communication services and he also spent several years at Telus Communications Inc. (formerly B.C. Telephone company). Mr. Wilcox has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Sciences.
Mr. Bruce Sanderson - President and DirectorMr. Sanderson has been involved in both the telecommunications and data worlds for over 25 years. During that time he has worked for several international telecom organizations including Cable & Wireless and TR Services. He progressed through the industry to the capacity of western branch manager for a national telecom equipment supplier, then on to establish his own consulting company which was responsible for implementing the technology used by many organizations, including such leading edge technologies as online trading for Qtrade in early 2000. In 2004 he assumed the role of CTO for Symmetric Broadband in the wholesale VoIP carrier industry and established a network that spanned North America and Europe.
Mr. Dale Emery - Director of FinanceMr. Emery has over 40 years experience as an Accountant. For more than 20 years Mr. Emery has held senior accounting and finance positions in a variety of companies where he was responsible for all elements of accounting including cash-flow planning, budgeting, financial statement preparation, and taxes as well as liaison with banks, lawyers, insurers, investors. Mr. Emery earned an accounting designation in 1965.
Mr. Ian Hunter - VP Sales and DirectorMr. Hunter has many years of telecom experience. Most recently he held positions at Group Telecom as Vice President, Carrier Sales, USA; Vice President, Intercarrier Services; Vice President, Carrier Sales; and Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. Prior to that Mr. Hunter spent two years with Fourseas Asialink Ltd. as Vice President of the Americas. He was director of Sales and Customer Service for Western Canada at Sprint USA International Inc., National Major Account Manager for Datel Communications, Sales Manager for Western Canada at Santel Communications Canada Inc, and held a variety of senior sales positions at Telus Communications Inc. Mr. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree along with numerous other diplomas related to sales and marketing.
Mr. Christian Taliercio - Manager Channel SalesMr. Teliercio has been involved in the Telecommunications Industry for over 9 years. In 1998 he co-founded one of the first VoIP software companies providing solutions for customer service over the Internet, distance education, and other collaborative tools for business. In 2001 Mr. Taliercio worked with Bell Canada's wireless division in Vancouver, helping it grow its customer base by double digits and acquiring over $1,000,000 in new annual revenues. Mr. Taliercio became a wireless data consultant for Bell where he assisted them in acquiring new business and growing existing business through the sale of wireless data solutions. Mr. Taliercio has a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Robert (Bob) Macaskill - Director of Governmental AffairsMr. Macaskill has over 32 years experience in the telecommunications industry, working in both voice and data for B.C. Telephone Company. He was one of the core team members responsible for providing the telecommunications requirements for EXPO 86. At B.C. Telephone Company, Mr. Macaskill held positions in the Education Centre providing training in Customer Service. He was also in Standards and Methods developing procedures for Voice and Data Services, as well as ensuring compliance with CRTC/Stentor decisions and orders. Mr. Macaskill has a BA (’68) and a certificate in Personnel Management (’72) and C.I.M. (’73) |
