Intermediate Programmer

We are looking for a telecom programmer

Do you have what it takes to join one of the fastest growing wholesale ITSP's in Canada? Our leading edge, turnkey, white-labeled, VoIP and communication services power the phone service for ISP's, Cable Companies and CLEC's across the country. We are looking for a telecom engineering rock star! - a software developer with solid background in VoIP, Telecommunications and IP Technology to join our Software Engineering department.

The successful candidate for this role will have to demonstrate both their technical expertise and aptitude in
the understanding of communications technologies and their ability to function well in a collaborative team
environment.

Only candidates with a minimum of 3 years development experience in the field of IP Telephony will be
considered.

Skills Required:

  • Programming knowledge in any of the following: PHP, C/C++, Java, XML, Web 2.0 etc.
  • Solid understanding of IP protocols and networked communications.
  • Experience with SQL databases and data storage.
  • Experience

Technical Musts:

  • Advanced, multi-threaded, Object-Oriented development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

General:

  • Experience working with a development team.v
  • Experience with development tools, project management tools.v
  • Solid development skills.
  • Demonstrate in design and analysis.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Well versed with networking protocols, particularly TCP/IP, H.323, SIP.
  • Have previously worked in VoIP product development.
  • Experience with Inter-op testing and QA.

Assets:

  • VoIP / Telephony experience (SIP, RTP).
  • Traditional Telecommunications experience preferred.
  • Digital Signal Processing Algorithms (voice).
  • Experience integrating applications for high availability telephony environments.
  • UNIX or Linux Sysadmin experience.
  • Database and data storage experience.
  • ISP background is a plus.
  • Security protocols.

Operating Systems / Applications:

  • Proficiency with UNIX / Linux operating systems.
  • OpenSer, Asterisk, MS Sequel, MySQL.
  • Windows Server, MySQL.
